Mount Auburn (outside Boston, MA) is the first landscaped cemetery in America. This resting place of the dead was also filled with relentless life - tree roots bursting through the ground and displacing tombstones, wild animals such as rabbits and turkeys wandering between the graves, and as depicted here, nature reclaiming the monuments. It was a magical, mysterious, and awe-inspiring place - a melding of life and death, nature and humanity.
I am drawn to the unfamiliar and the unknown, constantly exploring and absorbing my surroundings with wonder and curiosity. In my work, I strive to capture this feeling and the way in which I view the world. In the process, I hope it may inspire others to appreciate and experience their surroundings in a new way. This world is a fascinating and magical place, one that deserves our attention. I have a wide selection of prints available in a variety of formats and am available for hire and artistic collaboration. - PORTFOLIO - INSTAGRAM - EMAIL: csbrown81@gmail.com.
